Interested in a career in Science, eBusiness or I.T.? SIT SMART may be for you

Co. Meath VEC is delighted to offer 100 new education places on SIT SMART a new and innovative education programme that will take place in various locations in the county in September 2010. Funded under the Labour Market Activation scheme (LMA), Science IT SMART is a Government-funded initiative which supports training and education programmes for Job Seekers. SIT SMART is a unique opportunity to upskill in the areas of IT and Life Sciences through an intensive programme of learning and career development. SIT SMART is open to individuals who are unemployed and receiving a Job Seekers payment for three months or more. Programme participants may also apply for the Back to Education Allowance. Funded under the Labour Market Activation scheme, the programme offers three learning pathways: Laboratory Techniques, Computer Maintenance and Networking and eBusiness. A comprehensive set of career development supports will be available to participants as part of the programme. Courses are full time and lead to a nationally recognised FETAC Level 5 award. Upon successful completion of the programme participants will be equipped to pursue career opportunities and further studies in the fields of Science, eBusiness or Information Technology. Courses begin in September in a variety of locations throughout Co. Meath.
