Welcome to Meath County Council's database of education and training opportunities across County Meath. The Meath Office for Further & Higher Education in conjunction with Community IT section collated details on training opportunities currently on offer within the county. To assist you with your research information is provided on full-time, part-time and distance learning courses. There is a wealth of opportunities available in County Meath and more to come.
You can search by keyword, area or by organisation and can view information about the wide range of training options available. The facility also exists to provide feedback, comments and suggestions in relation to this resource.
Further information on the Meath Office of Further and Higher Education
In September 2006 the Meath Office for Further & Higher Education was established as a result of a recent audit of Education and Training within the county. Findings within the report illustrated a need for greater educational opportunities Meath. It is a goal of Meath County Council to produce and retain a high level workforce within the county.

Our Aims
The aim of the office is to:
- Promote the development of greater educational opportunities within further and higher education in County Meath.
- Work as part of the Economic Development and Innovation unit of Meath County Council to ensure appropriate programmes are in place to meet the requirements of local business/enterprise
- Liaise with stakeholders in order to provide effective information for potential learners through the development of a comprehensive database

Meath Education and Training Forum
Meath Education and Training Forum was set up by the Meath County Development Board to undertake research and other initiatives on training and education provision in the county. The idea for a central website incorporating a database of courses available throughout Meath originated from forum discussion.
Meath Working Group on Further and Higher Education
To advance the work of the forum a working group on ‘Further and Higher Education’ was established in late 2007 with the mission being to ‘widen opportunities for learning within county Meath’. The group consists of the following membership;
